Blue Twisted Sister

This was the first in a series of quilts that I am making from the Twisted Sisters rotary cutting template by Ami Simms. I love this pattern it has lots of scope, is quick and easy to piece and although I quilted this one minimally, you could free machine quilt the secondary pin wheels you get by joining the blocks without sashing.
This quilt was made with three fat quarters in blue prints that Annie gave me, the white is a patterned weave that I had left over from backing another project (may be poly-cotton). The black squares were another fat quarter I already had. I had to buy the blue and black for the borders and binding. The buttons I picked up at Sandown one year and the white batting was also a leftover.
I exhibited this quilt at Hever in 2009.
